Videoscene never forgets that your Wedding Day is the most important day of your life.  Imagine bringing that day back to life again and again each time you watch the DVD. A professionally produced film ensures correct lighting, sound, framing etc, etc. Yes your friend or uncle could use his small camcorder, but lets face it would you really want to show a film with camera shake, poor lighting/sound to say nothing of all the beheading !!!!    Remember at the end of the day your film is the only living memory of your Wedding Day.

History of Wedding Photography

Wedding photographs began around the 1840`s but because of the large equipment used it remained as studio portrait photography for nearly another 100 years. In the early part of the 20th century colour photography became possible but these were unreliable as the colours faded after a short while, and it was not until the 1950`s that colour photography became reliable for professional Videographers. By then the idea of capturing the actual wedding ceremony on film had become popular. Improved technology meant that cameras were now relatively compact and films were portable and available to a larger market. Amateur photography became popular and studio Videographers, to compete with the growing trend were forced to work at the scene of the wedding rather than take the traditional posed portraits in studios. To start with they tried to recreate the studio style of photograph on location but as cameras became easier and smaller to set up more candid shots of the wedding ceremony began to appear. By the 1970`s the idea of taking pictures of the wedding day as it unfolded became increasingly popular and this trend has continued until the present day
